1. Identify an area where the pest animals travel. Keep in mindthat they often stay close to walls, fences, & structures.
2. Bait a small area around & underneath the trap.
A few good ideas for bait include bread & butter, small nuts, cherry pits, oatmeal, sunflower seeds or peanut butter.
3. Make sure the trap latches are set in place. They should beflush against the side of the trap.
4. Trap should be set at night before going to bed & checked early in the morning to allow the animals to be relocated & released safely.
5. Wear heavy gloves & uses caution when dealing trapped animals.
